Choul Chhnam is considered to be one of the biggest celebrations
in Cambodia. During this celebration, Cambodians with Khmer roots stop working for
3 days and together celebrate the end of the traditional harvest season.
This is a great time for the hard working farmers to
take some leisurely time off and celebrate the harvest they’ve done the whole
year.
All the people from Khmer roots gather together with
their family and friends to mark this festival. And during this celebration,
they perform various ceremonies for purification and perform various other
rituals.
